While enjoying all of the benefits and opportunities that belonging to a global group brings, meaning that individuals and teams can make a real difference within this operating culture.We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager (m/f/d) for our Process Engineering and Development department in Hamburg at the earliest date possible.The Role & Your TasksLead the definition and execution of investment projects, aligning with strategic and short-term business objectives.Translate project scope into clear User Requirement Specifications (URS), engaging stakeholders and ensuring alignment.Ensure all projects comply with safety, environmental, and engineering standards.Collaborate with external partners including contract manufacturers, scientific institutions, engineering firms, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.Develop and maintain standardised engineering design and operational protocols.Mentor and develop the project engineering team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.Support global strategic initiatives, best practice programmes, and commercial projects requiring engineering input.Special TasksOversee project definition, planning, implementation, and tracking.Promote the use of sustainable technologies across business functions.Implement Good Engineering Practices and standards such as EHEDG.Manage contractors and consultants in line with ABF Procurement guidelines.Collaborate with financial managers to justify investments per ABF protocols.Ensure compliance with food safety and security standards.Contribute to the strategic vision for operational excellence.Champion 5S and related methodologies in project areas.Your ProfileYou hold a Master's degree or PhD in engineering or a related field, forming the foundation of your technical expertise.You bring several years of experience in leading technical projects, ideally within the biotechnology, food, beverage, or process industries.Your strong background in CAPEX project management and your inspiring leadership style with a "can-do" attitude make you a driving force in project execution.With excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you operate effectively across all organizational levels.Analytical thinking, solution orientation, and an entrepreneurial mindset define your approach to work.You navigate international project environments with structure, cost-awareness, and a clear focus.A strong sense of quality and customer orientation is second nature to you.You simplify complex processes-making them clear, understandable, and goal-oriented.You are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.Willingness to travel-regionally and internationally-completes your profile.What we offerLocated in the center of Hamburg (connection to public transport)Attractive remunerationParticipation in the bonus programSubsidy for the HVV ProfiTicketFlexible working hoursOpportunity for further training and individual developmentMobile work possible at timesFree fruit, water and coffeeWe look forward to your application including information about your earliest possible start date and salary expectations
