Financial Analyst

Role Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst
to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and business strategy. You will work closely with senior finance staff and other departments to ensure financial performance is monitored, financial risks are mitigated, and budget forecasts are accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to help the company understand its financial performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Assist in the preparation of business cases for potential investments, mergers, or acquisitions.
• Provide insights into financial trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with different departments to collect data and estimate future financial performance.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements based on findings.
• Help prepare presentations and reports for management, board meetings, or external stakeholders.
• Monitor financial compliance and ensure all transactions are in line with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings, audits, and other regulatory financial reports.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role (internships or entry-level roles are considered).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Experience with financial analysis tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
• Ability to present complex financial data in a clear and understandable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred (but not required):

• Financial certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or FMVA) is a plus.
• Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience in industry-specific financial analysis (e.g., retail, manufacturing, technology).
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, IFRS).
