Role Description

The Financial Analyst provides data-driven insights and strategic support to guide business decisions, improve financial performance, and optimize resource allocation. This role involves analyzing financial statements, developing forecasts, building models, and preparing reports for management and stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with business acumen, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to present actionable insights clearly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, budgets, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets, providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and business initiatives using ROI, NPV, and IRR methods.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare dashboards for decision-making support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and business units, to gather and validate financial data.
  • Support strategic planning and business case development for new projects or initiatives.
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to support financial strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and financial policies.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or investment-related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present financial insights clearly.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FMVA are advantageous but not required.
  • Integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
