PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

Develop and design industry leading creative solutions for assigned concepts or category, to create a highly relevant, desirable, and clear adidas brand image, from sell-in to sellout (consumer-facing).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts that align with brand, category, and campaign objectives, with a strong emphasis on motion/video storytelling.
  • Help shape the brand's visual direction across various communication platforms, ensuring a cohesive look and feel.
  • Apply motion editing and art direction skills to craft compelling narratives.
  • Collaborate with Product Design teams to build holistic, product-led storytelling from concept to consumer.
  • Direct a network of creative partners—including editors, cinematographers, agencies, and freelancers—to deliver high-impact visual content.
  • Oversee production workflows, providing clear feedback and approvals to ensure creative excellence and timely delivery.
  • Optimize creative output within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Contribute to long-term creative direction strategies, driving evolution in photography and cinematography.
  • Present and communicate creative ideas with clarity and confidence, engaging stakeholders across functions.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and lead self-initiated projects that push creative boundaries.
  • Seek out new design resources that can deliver world class results.
  • Mentor junior creatives, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, sport culture, and emerging creative technologies to continuously drive relevance and newness.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Design apps: Expert
  • IT skills: Microsoft apps: advanced
  • Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create impactful/exciting visuals and concepts
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Art Direction of large-scale product and athlete/celebrity photo and video shoots
  • Demonstrate strong affinity and interest into current consumer trends, in sports, design and culture
  • Deep understanding of marketing objectives and how creative solutions drive business impact
  • Passion for adidas and its mission
  • Passion for sports, culture, design
  • Language: English- excellent

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Under-graduate level Design education or combination thereof
  • Solid education and advanced experience in the creative development of communication tools
  • At least 8 years' experience in Sporting Goods/Fashion Industry or Design on managerial level
  • Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution, pre-press processes)
