Field Application Engineer

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as the key technical interface between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You'll introduce and support advanced power electronic components, such as semiconductors, magnetics, and thermal or mechanical parts, while analysing customer applications to identify the most suitable solutions. You will advise on power converter design, assist with schematic and layout reviews, and help optimise performance through detailed lab testing and evaluation. Collaboration is central to this position, you'll coordinate closely with manufacturing partners and internal sales teams to guide customer projects from concept through to production. The role is primarily based at the Ismaning office, with partial home office flexibility and occasional travel to visit clients and suppliers.
Your Profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Solid experience designing power converter systems and understanding of topologies (buck, boost, flyback, LLC, full-bridge phase-shift, etc.).
- Skilled in power semiconductor selection and magnetic component design (transformers, inductors).
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
- German citizenship and a valid Class B driver's licence required.
