We are seeking an experienced Sound Designer with a passion for shaping the future of in-car auditory experiences. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and integration of soundscapes that enhance driver and passenger interaction, from functional feedback sounds to brand-defining acoustic signatures. You will collaborate closely with engineering, UX, and brand teams to deliver world-class sound experiences across our automotive platforms. 

What you will be doing 

• Design and develop unique auditory experiences for vehicle systems, including UI/UX sounds, safety alerts, engine/EV propulsion sounds, and branded sound signatures.
• Work with cross-functional teams and supplier (engineering, HMI/UX, product design, and marketing) to align sound design with technical requirements and brand identity.
• Conduct sound concept editing, synthesis, and mixing to create high-quality assets suitable for in-vehicle environments as archetype.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate and optimize sound playback on embedded systems.
• Perform subjective and objective evaluations of in-vehicle sound performance, making iterative improvements based on user testing and feedback.
• Stay current with automotive sound regulations (e.g., AVAS requirements) and ensure compliance in sound design solutions.
• Lead sound prototyping and concept development, presenting ideas effectively to stakeholders.

What you will bring 

• 5+ years professional experience in sound design, preferably within automotive, consumer electronics, gaming, or related industries.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in audio creation, editing, and implementation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic, Reaper, etc.), sound design tools, and audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD).
• Solid understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and sound perception in complex environments.
• Experience integrating sounds into embedded systems or automotive infotainment platforms.
• Familiarity with automotive regulations and standards related to sound (e.g., AVAS, ISO).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance creative vision and technical constraints.
• Degree in Sound Design, Music Technology, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Preferred Skills 

• Experience with electric vehicle (EV) propulsion sound design and future mobility experiences.
• Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) and audio programming.
• Background in spatial audio, immersive sound, and multi-speaker system design.
• Passion for automotive innovation and user-centered design.
