Component Development Engineer

Wir suchen eine/einen Component Development Engineer (all genders) mit Schwerpunkt auf Turbomaschinen für unser Team. In dieser Rolle bringst du deine Expertise in der mechanischen Auslegung von Turbomaschinen ein, indem du an zentralen Komponenten wie Rotoren, Gehäusen, Gaslagern und Kühlsystemen arbeitest – und damit maßgeblich zur Entwicklung unserer innovativen Antriebssysteme beiträgst:

  • Du entwickelst das mechanische Design für Rotoren und Gehäuse von Turbomaschinen.
  • Du wählst geeignete Gaslager für hochdrehende Turbomaschinen aus.
  • Du führst Rotordynamik-Analysen durch und optimierst hiermit das Rotordesign.
  • Du konzipierst Kühlkonzepte für Hochleistungs-Turbomaschinen.
  • Du arbeitest eng mit einem Team aus Component, Design und Simulation Engineers sowie Kolleg*innen von Joby zusammen.

Anforderungen

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Maschinenbau oder vergleichbar
  • Berufserfahrung im mechanischen Design von Turbomaschinen
  • Kenntnisse in CAD (vorzugsweise Catia) und FEM (vorzugsweise Altair)
  • Erfahrung mit Gaslagertechnologie und Rotordynamik
  • Kenntnisse in Kühlkonzept-Design
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
