As a Financial Accountant your responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor AP/AR cycles, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate the financial reporting of subsidiaries and perform consolidation processes
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on performance and financial health.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements
What you will need to succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or in Business Administration with a corresponding focus.
  • At least two years of working experience in a Big4 audit form.
  • Very good knowledge of accounting principles (HGB & IFRS or US-GAAP) and financial statements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP (ideally, NetSuite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in German & English) to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse large sets of data.
  • High sense of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Continuous improvement & development mindset — always looking for ways to enhance processes and efficiency, and a never stop growing mentality.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
