CVS engineering GmbH manufactures compressors and vacuum pumps specifically designed for mobile applications (primarily in trucks, railways, and buses).
Our in-house production, equipped with an innovative machine park, 3D measurement technology, and highly automated machining centers, provides us with significant production advantages and flexibility. This enables us to ensure the quality and operational reliability of all components and to respond quickly and individually to nearly all customer requirements.
Your role
The Strategic Category Buyer is part of the Procurement team. Primary role is to Lead the Supplier Management to secure QDCP (Quality; Delivery; Cost; Project & Products) performance, continous improvements and active risk management with the Suppliers within responsibility. Develop a high performing, reliable and innovative supplier base.
To succeed, you will need
- You will be point of contact between Atlas Copco and your responsible suppliers
- You will proactively work with risks within your supplier base, reduce the number of risk suppliers, set up contingency and risk mitigation plans and build partnership in critical technologies
- You will realize a yearly cost saving plans according to agreed initiatives
- You will conduct RFQ, supplier selection and qualification process with a cross functional mindset and long term performance potential in mind
- You will work in close cooperation with operational buyers, make sure actions are taken immediately in case of deviations, promote initiatives with Supplier for creating a more agile supply chain to optimize stock in days and secure delivery times to our customers
- You will secure early integration and active involvement of the supplier base in product development to safeguard cost engineering plans and meeting time to market targets
