Your responsibilities and tasks:

We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Working Student to join our GEA Digital Hub in Düsseldorf. You won't just be another working student—you'll be an integral part of a fast-moving, agile, and cross-functional team that shapes the digital transformation of GEA. In this role, you will support our mission to create actionable insights from data, helping to drive informed business decisions and sustainable growth.

The GEA Digital Hub Düsseldorf is dedicated to digitalizing GEA's customer interface, creating new digital products and services, and establishing innovative business models. Working collaboratively with digital units across all divisions, the GEA Digital Hub provides GEA-wide platforms, services, and methods to accelerate these efforts. Operating as a corporate start-up, the Hub follows an agile and customer-centric approach, driving digital transformation throughout the company.

Your tasks:

  • Support the development of data-driven reports and dashboards to monitor performance, customer engagement, and market trends.
  • Analyze market data & customer surveys, and competitor insights to identify business opportunities and improvement potential.
  • Assist in building and maintaining Power BI / Power Apps tools for visualization and process automation.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across different data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into business actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes and digital reporting standards.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • Education: Ongoing master studies in a STEM discipline – (e.g. Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics) or Business Administration / Economics with a strong analytical focus.
  • Analytical skills: Strong quantitative and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Tools & technologies: Initial experience with data analytics or visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Excel, Python, or similar.
  • Working style: Structured, detail-oriented, and eager to work with data to generate business insights.
  • Communication: Excellent English skills (German is a plus) and the ability to communicate analytical results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team spirit: Proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic about working in an international digital environment.
