RAILWAY PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: Munich
Contract Length: 12 Months (with possibility of permanent employment)
Rate: Up to €80 per hour

I'm working with a client based in
Munich
who specialises in cutting-edge
railway technologies
and high-impact infrastructure projects. They're currently looking for a
Project Engineer
to join their growing team and play a key role in delivering innovative solutions in
signalling and train safety systems
.

This is a
12-month contract position with the potential for permanent employment after the initial term
, ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in the rail sector while exploring long-term career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define optimal technical solutions and support
    proposal preparation
  • Specify, track, and test
    hardware/software development packages
  • Coordinate technical requirements
    with internal teams and clients
  • Monitor project KPIs
    and ensure objectives are met
  • Manage work packages
    , ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Maintain project plans,
    manage risks and changes
  • Communicate project objectives and oversee technical activities

Your Profile:

  • Fluent in German (C1-C2) and English (C1)
  • Minimum
    3 years
    of experience as a
    project engineer or team lead
  • Degree in
    electrical engineering, electronics, computer science
    , or similar
  • Strong knowledge of
    German railway signalling and control systems
  • At least
    3 years in the railway sector
  • Proficient in
    Microsoft Office
  • Experience in
    engineering project planning and risk/resource management
  • Ideally familiar with
    software development processes
    and tools like Primavera
  • Expertise in
    rail transport, telecommunications, or electrical engineering
    is desirable
  • Experience in
    system architecture
    and leading
    engineering teams
  • Knowledge of
    bid preparation
