Team missionGetYourGuide is looking for a Head of Creative to lead our centralized Studio group. In this role, you'll be responsible for our Brand design systems, motion design, photo + video strategy, and brand voice. You'll drive brand distinctiveness across the customer journey focusing on the seamless visual and written storytelling at every step of the customer journey finding business-first solutions that successfully build the GetYourGuide brand as a household name in the travel experiences space.
This is a strategic leadership role leading a group of highly skilled creatives across disciplines working in partnership with Product, Comms, and Marketing teams to create and shepherd a brand identity that stands out. You'll work closely with regional creative and marketing leaders enabling synergy across the globe that connects with consumers; while on the other side, you and your team will be the key creative marketing partner to our UX and Product teams on identifying, developing, and testing innovative creative concepts across video, photography, and design that pushes the boundaries on how we engage with customers through the GetYourGuide experience.
You'll operate as a creative partner who can both conceptualize breakthrough ideas and execute proof-of-concepts that demonstrate their potential whether that be a new email template or a video embed.
Key Responsibilities:Creative Strategy & Innovation
- Direct, influence, and elevate the work of both senior and junior team members fostering an environment of collaboration and creativity
- Lead visual and messaging strategies ensuring a compelling and unified brand across all customer touchpoints
- Develop a vision and roadmap for creative innovation at GetYourGuide, identifying opportunities to enhance our visual storytelling throughout the customer journey
- Instill and drive a culture of testing and learning; analyze test results to refine concepts and prepare successful innovations
- Document learnings and insights from both successful and unsuccessful experiments
- Owning global campaign initiatives from a creative strategy point of view
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work cross-functionally with Brand, Product, and Comms teams to align storytelling with strategic goals and customer insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify creative challenges and opportunities across the customer journey
- Empower growth and investment through proof of success to stakeholders and leaders, advocating for resources to scale successful initiatives
Knowledge Transfer & Implementation:
- Create guidelines for successful concepts and design systems to ensure smooth transition to production teams
- Collaborate with production teams throughout the process to imagine how we bring work to life and ultimately at scale
- Build a library of innovation case studies and best practices to inform future creative work
- Foster a culture of creative experimentation and continuous improvement across the organization
- 12+ years of experience in a senior creative role, ideally in-house or a mix of agency and in-house environments with proven people management and org development skills
- Deep expertise in building and guiding global creative brand development, messaging strategy, and creative storytelling across multiple formats and across both digital product and marketing teams
- Experience building and evolving teams to set industry standards with understanding of technology and AI influence in creative process
- Proven experience setting creative direction for brand, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs especially in collaboration with digital product teams.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence senior stakeholders to drive impactful storytelling initiatives.
- Experience working on global brands and diverse markets, with an understanding of how to tailor storytelling for different audiences and scale a studio team with rapid business growth
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, and skilled at balancing creative vision with business priorities.
- A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in brand storytelling, creative direction, and content strategy, with a distinct voice and style.
