Role Description

The Junior Software Engineer plays an integral role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this position contributes to coding, debugging, testing, and documentation efforts throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The role requires a solid understanding of programming fundamentals, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn modern development tools and best practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow within a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This position offers hands-on experience in building scalable software solutions and exposure to cross-functional collaboration within an agile development framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications in accordance with project requirements and design specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards.
  • Participate in software debugging, issue tracking, and troubleshooting to ensure high system reliability.
  • Collaborate with team members in designing and implementing new features or system enhancements.
  • Contribute to code reviews and learn from senior developers to improve coding practices and performance.
  • Support the integration of third-party tools, APIs, and services within existing applications.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile development activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and version notes to support development and deployment processes.
  • Research emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to recommend innovative approaches.
  • Provide assistance in testing and deployment phases, ensuring that software is delivered on time and meets quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships or academic projects.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with front-end or back-end development frameworks (React, , Spring Boot, or .NET) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • A passion for technology and continuous learning of new tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
