Job Description

The Junior Software Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications under the supervision of senior engineers. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience in software development and grow their technical expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrates a commitment to writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Working as part of a dynamic development team, the Junior Software Engineer will contribute to the creation of innovative software solutions that meet user and business needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, testing, and deploying software applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following team standards.
  • Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA engineers.
  • Assist in maintaining existing systems and implementing enhancements or fixes.
  • Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and programming languages as needed.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Follow Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and project meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of software development experience (internship experience acceptable).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or C++).
  • Understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, and version control systems (Git).
  • Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality code.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
