Getac continues its strong growth journey, and we are now hiring a Business Development Manager for the Defence and Government sector in Germany to strengthen our Defence team, accelerate future growth and increase regional defence capabilities.
In this pivotal role, you will develop and expand Getac's presence across the German defence ecosystem, working directly with the Armed Forces, MODs, procurement agencies, system integrators, distributors and resellers to build trusted partnerships and deliver mission-ready rugged technology solutions.
As a key member of the team, you will own the full sales cycle from identifying and qualifying opportunities to guiding technical discussions, crafting winning proposals, and ensuring post-sales success. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving new business, deepening existing relationships, and supporting customers throughout every stage of their journey.
You will also provide high-level technical and solution guidance to both customers and partners, collaborating closely with the wider Defence Team to achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities
- Achievement of yearly sales plan and pipeline generation to achieve following target periods
- Drive order intake and manage the sales pipeline
- Lead opportunities from prospect to contract award, ensuring full compliance
- Develop and deliver winning proposals in tenders
- Smart working combined with regular travel across Germany
- Development & implementation of solution sales strategy to include: target customers, channel partners and customer engagement plans
- Creation and management of account plans and strategies for targeted customers
- Manage and support established business and customers to enable retention
- Support accredited partner program & channel development strategy
- Engagement and utilisation of Product Solutions team to identify & create sector solutions
- Work with Marketing to create and deliver activity plans built around a lead generation program to build out your sales pipeline
- Attend quarterly business review presenting sales & strategy performance when requested
- Communicate target customers, sector trends and competitors' activity
- Daily management of Salesforce for CRM and weekly/monthly forecasting
Qualifications
- Over 10 years' experience in IT or technology defence sales and channel management/development
- Proven sales track record over time with excellent results and strong references
- Very strong network and strategic relationships within the defence sector and MODs across Germany
- Proven track record in managing significant levels of business
- Experience in enterprise mobile solutions preferred but not a must
- Past military experience is preferred but not a must
