Mobile Operations Technician Assistant

Amentum is seeking a Mobile Operations Technician Assistant (MOTA) for a position at the Polygone range (in the vicinity of Ramstein AFB) in Germany. The Mobile Operations Technician Assistant will transport and assist in realistic TTAO training via a combination of fixed, mobile, and MANPORTABLE mission systems throughout the European Area of Operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and ensure safety is the highest priority.
• The Mobile Operations Technician Assistant will assist the MOT, JTE Operators, LMOC Operators and MSO / EM in preparation of mobile equipment to be safely driven/transported to and from the operating locations as required by the daily mission schedule.
• Set up, tear down, and ship equipment under the EWOTIM PWS using manuals and required test equipment.
• Transport and secure munitions.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and all vehicle safety equipment is present and serviceable.
• Travel to temporary duty stations on short notice and for extended periods of time in support of missions, training, and conferences.
• Transport to or receive parts, equipment, and vehicles to and from local operations areas, LRS, VRS and TDY locations.
• Assist with all GFP inventories and accountability, filling tags and paperwork under guidance of Supply Technicians and management for turning in serviceable or unserviceable parts and equipment.
• Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.
• Adhere to company and US government processes, regulations, and statutes.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining high performance standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Report and deficiencies or outages of any facilities to the Facility Manager.
• Work in all weather conditions, remove snow and ice from facilities.
• Clean all areas, vehicles, and equipment by means of sweeping, vacuuming, moping, wiping, dusting and power washing.
• Required to take Dangerous Goods Certifier Course and maintain the certificate.
• Position may involve extending reaching, stooping, kneeling, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to use MS Office/Computer.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Experience in a related field at a military installation

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Valid driver's license and passport
• Must obtain a German Class B driving license within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain a German Class CE driving license within 1 year of enrollment into the driving school
• Previous work experience in an OCONUS environment preferred
• Ability to obtain a German forklift license as required
