Terumo's Pharmaceutical Solutions Division (PSD) develops patient-oriented parenteral drug delivery solutions.

Terumo recently acquired a CDMO facility in Leverkusen, Germany to enhance it's capacity and better service customer demands within EMEA. As part of this acquisition we are now looking to hire a Supply Chain and Warehouse manager to support this production site. 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations at our Drug Product site in Leverkusen. This pivotal role ensures the seamless flow of materials and information across forecasting, procurement, warehousing, and external supplier management to support manufacturing and project delivery.

As a key member of the site leadership team, you will own the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, drive operational excellence, and lead strategic initiatives. You will develop and mentor your team towards high performance, foster collaboration across functions, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thrives in a dynamic but regulated environment, and is passionate about continuous improvement, compliance, and safety. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain operations for the Drug Product site in Leverkusen, including forecasting, material supply, direct material procurement, warehousing, and management of external warehouse partners to ensure seamless manufacturing and project execution.

  • Own the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the site, driving development, stakeholder engagement, and implementation. Ensure robust material planning policies and customer demand fulfillment while providing subject matter expertise across all supply chain activities.

  • Manage direct manufacturing-related material requirements, aligning material demand with production schedules and executing timely procurement to support operational continuity.

  • Serve as the supply chain workstream lead for SAP implementation, ensuring successful deployment, clear role definition, and sustainable integration across the business.

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for internal teams and external warehouse operations. Analyze data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

  • Organize training programs and align responsibilities to ensure team members are fully qualified, empowered, and prepared for their roles.

  • Develop a high-performing Supply Chain & Warehouse team, fostering collaboration, mutual support, succession planning, and coaching. Promote an inclusive team culture and act as a positive ambassador in all forums.

  • Enable strategic partnerships across entities to optimize stock movements for time and cost efficiency.

  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with external warehouse providers and other key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact to accelerate problem-solving and ensure timely delivery.

  • Maintain accurate master data management and coordinate with relevant departments to support materials and warehouse activities.

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and service performance, safeguarding material availability for uninterrupted site operations.

  • Proactively address challenges across the end-to-end supply chain, delivering collaborative, win-win solutions and ensuring compliance while supporting smooth daily operations.

  • Drive Operational Excellence initiatives to streamline planning, procurement, and warehousing processes.

  • Represent the local Supply Chain & Warehouse organization professionally in interactions with corporate counterparts and business leaders.

  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams at all levels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and achievement of operational targets.

  • Champion workplace safety and GMP compliance, leading by example and promoting a culture of accountability.

Profile Description

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred, however we equally value work experience or extracurricular training 
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APICS) or equivalent experience highly valued.

Experience

  • 5+ years in Supply Chain Management with strong focus on planning; experience in warehouse and import/export management is a plus.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience driving functional and cross-functional teams toward operational excellence.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced, commercially focused manufacturing environment within the biopharma or medtech industry.
  • Experience in highly regulated, multinational, and multi-site environments with strong stakeholder management skills.

Technical Competencies

  • Deep expertise in ERP systems for supply chain and warehouse management; SAP experience preferred.
  • Hands-on involvement in ERP implementation and improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of process control strategies, data management, and operational KPIs.

Knowledge

  • Solid knowledge of GMP production and related manufacturing, purchasing, and warehouse processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and foster cross-functional collaboration.
