A day in a life of a Senior Automation Engineer

• As a Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d) you will take the lead in designing, developing, and implementing advanced automation and process control systems across multiple production lines, ensuring that they operate efficiently and reliably.
• Furthermore, you will spearhead the integration and deployment of AI and machine learning solutions, transforming our approach to intelligent process control and achieving seamless end-to-end optimization.
• You will play a crucial role in ensuring robust IT/OT integration, which enables secure and reliable data exchange between shop floor automation and enterprise systems, thereby enhancing operational effectiveness.
• You will actively integrate and leverage smart sensor technologies (such as MWR, NIR, or similar) for real-time process monitoring and control, contributing significantly to our commitment to operational excellence.
• Also, you will standardize automation architectures and the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Providing invaluable technical support for commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of our automation systems is also your responsibility. 

What will make you successful

• You hold a degree in Engineering, specializing in Automation, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or a related field, showcasing your foundational expertise in this domain.
• Several years of experience in automation, process control, or related engineering roles within manufacturing sectors (such as food, chemical, or pharmaceutical)
• You have a proven track record of deploying AI-driven solutions for process optimization, in PLC/SCADA programming, as well as strong experience in IT/OT integration and industrial networking.
• Your project management, teamwork and stakeholder management skills align with your strong communication skills. 
• Also you have full proficiency level in English – other languages are a plus.
