Responsibilities

  1. Sample Reception: Responsible for receiving customer samples according to SOP, which may include different types of biological samples such as blood, cells, DNA, RNA, etc.
  2. Sample Registration and Storage: Record detailed information of each sample online (LIMS). Print and affix labels accordingly, and store them in the correct location as per storage requirements to ensure sample integrity and stability.
  3. Sample Collection and Return: Follow SOP for sample collection and return, cooperate with various departments for sample collection and return, and track and record related sample movements.
  4. Communication of Exceptions: Promptly communicate any sample damage, loss, or other abnormal situations with laboratory team/PC colleagues and take necessary corrective actions.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment related to sample management to ensure its normal operation.
  6. Document Records: Maintain sample records and files to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data.
  7. Supplies Management: Manage consumables and supplies required for sample processing to ensure an adequate and timely supply.
  8. Collaboration and Communication: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the laboratory team, external partners, and customers.
  9. Training and Quality Control: Participate in training to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and participate in quality control and assurance activities.
  10. Environmental Health and Safety: Ensure that the work environment meets hygiene and safety standards and take necessary safety measures.
  11. Sample Transshipment: Handle sample transfers between sites, ensuring proper packaging and reporting issues.

Qualifications

  1. Completed vocational training as BTA/CTA/MTLA(or similar) or bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Logisitc with laboratory experience.
  2. Ability to independently operate the sample collection, sample return, sample forwarding, sample destruction, sample return process, etc.
  3. Excellent laboratory skills, including proficiency in pipetting, documentation and procedure.
  4. Ability to understand protocols and prepare buffers with consistency as demonstrated in recipes.
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, Chinese and German preferred.
  6. Good communication skills: Able to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and superiors.
  7. Teamwork: Possess a collaborative spirit and able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  8. Responsibility: Able to take ownership of one's work and decisions, and accountable for their tasks.
  9. Proactiveness: Demonstrates initiative by taking proactive actions, identifying and resolving issues ahead of time.
