This innovative tech organization, located in the Munich region, engineers high-reliability electronics for mission-critical, real-time systems. Their close-knit hardware team relies on practical talent to ensure precision and quality, blending start-up agility, deep technical rigor, and a collaborative workplace.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • First Inspection & Bring-Up:
    Handle the very first tests on new PCBs: perform careful visual inspection under a microscope, check assembly quality, measure electrical characteristics, and flash the initial firmware to validate basic board health.
  • Fine Soldering & Rework:
    Execute SMD micro-soldering, repair, and delicate hardware patches, even on boards featuring 0402 or smaller components.
  • Cable & Harness Assembly:
    Build reliable custom cables and harnesses for robust system integration, using professional crimping methods.
  • Lab Stewardship:
    Maintain and organize the lab's inventory, equipment, and workspace to keep the team productive and efficient.
  • Support Integration:
    Assist in fitting hardware into housings, ensuring thermal, mechanical, and electrical interfaces are correct for rigorous end-use environments.

Essential Requirements

  • Completed vocational training:
    Elektroniker für Geräte und Systeme, Radio- und Fernsehtechniker, Mechatroniker, or a comparable German/European technical apprenticeship.
  • Strong track record in
    fine-pitch micro-soldering
    , rework, and assembling advanced electronic prototypes.
  • Confident using
    lab and diagnostic equipment
    (oscilloscopes, power supplies, microscopes, hot air).
  • Basic comfort with
    executing scripts and following structured firmware flashing/test procedures
    .
  • Team player with clear communication skills, proactively suggesting process or design improvements.
  • Fluent/native German, with professional English language skills.
  • Eligibility for German (EU/NATO) security clearance. German or EU/NATO citizenship required.
  • Willing and able to work on-site daily in Greater Munich.
