We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability Specialist to join our team: This position will play a pivotal role in driving various sustainability initiatives across our worldwide operations, as well as communicating on our sustainability initiatives and successes. You have a thorough understanding of the current sustainability landscape, a strong interest for communication and working collaboratively on sustainability projects with different departments - but above all - be passionate about all aspects of sustainability?
Your tasks- Actively contribute to the execution of the company-wide sustainability strategy and its associated roadmaps
- Project management of cross-functional and international teams and working groups, including but not limited to circularity initiatives, e.g. in rotor blade recycling
- External stakeholder management, including customer inquiries, tender requests, sustainability surveys, network maintenance and expansion
- Coordinate submissions to sustainability ratings (e.g., Ecovadis) and manage rating score improvements
- Monitor and analyze sustainability-related regulations, market trends, competitor activities and stakeholder interests to derive actionable recommendations to further develop ENERCON's sustainability strategy and reporting
- Internal stakeholder management, including coordination of ENERCON's Sustainability Network (Sustainability Council and Sustainability Ambassador Exchange), internal communication and trainings
Your qualifications
- Graduate degree in sustainability or business administration, preferably in the field of circularity, energy, climate change or environment and relevant professional experience in the field of energy, circularity, communication, auditing or consulting
- Profound experience in a position in Sustainability and / or renewable energies
- Ability and proven experience to understand, clearly communicate and present complex sustainability messages to a broad range of internal and external audiences
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional initiatives, in a collaborative environment with an emphasis both on teamwork and individual accountability
- Preferably international work experience and intercultural awareness
- Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2) and German (B2)
- Willingness to travel to the headquarters in Northern Germany
- Possibility to work up to 60 % mobile (home office)
