Advisory and Professional Services (A&PS) are at the heart of our company's success. As we transform our go-to-market strategy globally, A&PS plays a pivotal role in building stronger, more meaningful relationships with our customers and partners. We are looking for team members who are passionate about delivering innovative, solutions-oriented services with a vertical focus, while leveraging and expanding our partner ecosystem.
At the same time, we need to drive industry-leading technical capability, aligned to our as-a-service workload strategy across AI, Hybrid Cloud and Edge, AI & Data, underpinned by customer success and consumption growth.
To support the expansion of this growing business area within HPE, we are seeking a motivated Sales Specialist for Advisory & Professional Services. This role requires a strong understanding of the evolving A&PS portfolio, including the features and benefits of our innovative solutions. An A&PS Sales Specialist will adopt a services-led sales approach, driving customer engagement through consultative interactions and value-based discussions to enhance long-term client relationships and business growth.
We are looking for an A&PS Sales Specialist to:
- Lead at the customer with broader topics such as sustainability, CIO priorities, etc. and to engage customers with HPE's specific value proposition on Hybrid Cloud, AI, Intelligent Edge.
- Serve as a trusted advisor within an assigned territory, industry, or set of accounts. Engage customers and guide them on a strategic partnership journey, identifying and developing qualified opportunities together.
- Apply deep expertise in end-to-end Advisory & Professional Services, utilizing the HPE Hybrid Cloud portfolio and partner ecosystem. Leverage storytelling and real-world references to simplify complex technologies, making them accessible and understandable for customers.
- Clearly articulate the advantages of innovative, evolving solutions and effectively demonstrate how HPE offerings stand apart from competitors.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, organizational structure, and future challenges to design and adapt solution roadmaps that effectively address their evolving needs.
- Demonstrate business and sales leadership by building mutually beneficial relationships with the account on all levels to grow HPE A&PS market share. Build and maintain professional, consultative relationships with clients at all levels, including C-level.
- Drive A&PS revenues, profitability, and pipeline by growing your accounts.
- Qualify and review new leads to drive sales opportunities to closure.
- Work with partners/ internal account team to ensure a smooth sales transaction.
- Build targeted sales pipeline and forecast data driven sales activities.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field (preferably IT/economics)
- Typically, 5+ years of selling experience at end-user account or channels level
- Profound knowledge of HPE's A&PS solutions – ideally focus on Hybrid Cloud, AI and Networking - and strong skills to pitch our solutions in front of partners and customers
- Experience in developing positive relationships and solving customer problems
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and effectively bridging sales gaps
- Profound account management, acquisition and deal hunting skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively meet deadlines
- Innovative mindset to think beyond proscribed solutions, and take proactive steps to advance HPE's sales efforts
- Proven ability to identify new opportunities, generate business, and consistently close deals with a high winning attitude.
- Strong customer orientation and consulting skills, paired with assertiveness and a mindset to challenge the customer's status quo for optimal solutions
- Track record in driving and managing IT projects for enterprise customers, ensuring strategic alignment and successful project delivery
- Demonstrated reliability in building and managing a robust sales pipeline, forecasting accurately, and maintaining excellence in customer management.
- Highly team-oriented with a strong focus on achieving goals
- Displays creativity, initiative, and reliability in all aspects of work
- Proficient usage skills in a CRM system to manage business relationships and the data and information associated with them
- Business fluent German language skills, plus excellent command of English
