About the Role

We're hiring for one of our
leading clients in the online retail and convenience delivery industry
, expanding rapidly across Europe. As a
Payroll Specialist
, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees in Belgium. Your work will directly contribute to employee satisfaction, compliance, and operational excellence.

You'll collaborate closely with Finance, HR Operations, and Service Management teams to ensure seamless payroll processes and continuous improvement of internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently process
    monthly payroll
    for around 500+ employees in Germany.
  • Manage
    salary, benefits, tips, bonuses, and deductions
    accurately and on schedule.
  • Handle
    income tax and social security contributions
    , ensuring compliance and timely payment.
  • Support special cases such as
    parental leave, long-term illness, and maternity protection
    .
  • Review and validate payroll reports from external providers and ensure data accuracy.
  • Manage payroll-related queries via internal ticketing systems with professionalism and empathy.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong understanding of
    German wage tax and social security law
    .
  • Excellent command of
    Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
    and strong analytical ability.
  • A
    structured, organized, and proactive
    work approach with solid time management.
  • High
    attention to detail, confidentiality, and discretion
    in handling sensitive data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a
    service-oriented mindset
    .
