About the Opportunity

As a Manager, Payroll Delivery, you will lead and oversee our German payroll delivery operations, ensuring our HR outsourcing clients receive accurate, compliant, and high-quality payroll services.

In this key leadership role, you will manage a team of Payroll Specialists, drive end-to-end payroll delivery, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders, representing Dayforce Germany in governance reviews, audits, and transformation projects.

What You'll Get to Do

• Ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of payroll services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Payroll Specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Oversee the entire payroll lifecycle, including calculation, validation, reconciliation, reporting, accounting, and year-end processes.
• Monitor and ensure full compliance with German tax, social security, and data privacy regulations, proactively managing legislative changes.
• Identify, design, and execute process improvement and automation initiatives to optimise efficiency and service quality.
• Lead governance meetings with clients, presenting performance updates, KPIs, and improvement plans.
• Collaborate with internal control functions on audit, compliance, and risk management activities.
• Drive the strategic development of the payroll delivery function in Germany, including capacity planning, resource optimisation, and service expansion.
• Act as a coach and role model, promoting professional growth, engagement, and career development within your team.

What You Bring

• Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams and delivery processes.
• In-depth knowledge of German payroll, tax, social security, and data privacy legislation.
• Proven track record in team leadership, process improvement, and client relationship management within a high-volume or outsourced payroll environment.
• Strong proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS tools, and MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and payroll-related reporting.
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and manage competing priorities.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
