The Observatory of Higher Education and the I³ Research Group "International Business, Information & Innovation Management" at Constructor University Bremen are seeking to fill the position of:

Research Associate Generative AI - PhD position (m/f/d)

(two-thirds contract, 25.67h/week, limited until December 2028)

The Team

The Observatory of Higher Education analyses innovations and digital transformation in the higher education landscape.

The I³ Research Group focuses on the design of digital technologies (e.g., social media, AI applications).

Constructor University Bremen is a renowned private international research university with students from 127 countries.

Your Responsibilities

  • Academic work within a BMBF-funded research project on the use of AI in universities in an international context
  • Conducting literature reviews and analyses
  • Designing data collection instruments and research design
  • Carrying out empirical studies (e.g., surveys, interviews) and data analysis
  • Presenting and publishing research results
  • Contributing to cross-group activities
  • Writing a doctoral dissertation is expected

Your Profile

  • Above-average academic degree (Master's or Diploma) in Educational Technology, Information Systems, Economics, Psychology or Social Sciences
  • Knowledge of quantitative empirical research methods
  • Fluency in English, German language skills are desirable
