You will work within a creative, passionate group of design experts to stage, visualize and animate excellent product designs in various industries, ranging from consumer goods to mobility and professional equipment.

Our studio is located in Hamburg's vibrant and creative district Winterhude, right on the edge of the Alster, Hamburg's famous inner-city park lake. The studio itself is set-up in an old carpenter's loft across two building levels, adjoined by a generous workshop and conferencing floor. Our team is made up of 30+ design professionals with diverse cultural and technical backgrounds that thrive on creative work.

At TEAMS Design, you'll have the opportunity to help build a new CGI department from the ground up and actively shape future standards. You'll collaborate closely with experts from Industrial Design, UX, Strategy, and AI, working on high-impact projects for international clients across diverse industries. You

As a CGI specialist at TEAMS, you will work in the field of virtual product photography and 3D animation (CGI), from story-board to post-production for our portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for the conversion, data preparation and the creation of photo-realistic high-end rendering stills and videos for presentations, marketing and advertising purposes. Creating Inspiring storyboards as well as superb high-res post production and understanding of virtual environments and CMLF (Color, Material, Light, Finish) is the priority and the responsibility of your performance within our CGI team.

Your Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality product visualizations, animations, and key visuals across Industrial, Medical, Safety, Consumer, and Mobility sectors
• Own look development, lighting, materials, and rendering quality from start to finish
• Define and refine CGI workflows, standards, and best practices within an interdisciplinary setup (Industrial Design, UX, Strategy, Digital)
• Manage small to mid-sized projects independently, including planning, prioritization, and quality control
• Lead or support client communication during reviews, presentations, and feedback cycles
• Actively contribute to the build-out of our new CGI department—processes, knowledge sharing, and quality benchmarks
• Integrate modern AI tools for efficiency, style exploration, variation generation, and post-production enhancement

Your Skills

3D & Modeling

• Advanced: Blender or 3ds Max
• Basic: Rhino
• Experience with data preparation, retopology, UV mapping, mesh optimization
• Autodesk tools (Alias, Fusion 360) can be learned through internal or external courses

Rendering & Post-Production

• V-Ray or KeyShot (advanced)
• Look development, material creation, lighting
• Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere)

AI-Driven CGI Workflows

• Generative imaging and style exploration
• Image-to-3D workflows
• AI-assisted post-production (Midjourney, Vizcom, Chat GPT, ComfyUI or similar)

Your Profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience as a CGI Artist, 3D Generalist, or Motion Designer
• Strong eye for lighting, materiality, composition, and visual storytelling
• Confident in self-managed, structured work across multiple parallel projects
• Strong communicator, comfortable presenting to clients and internal teams
• Ready to push the boundaries of AI-enabled CGI processes

Languages:

• German: Business fluent
• English: Business fluent

Requirements

You should have a CGI portfolio that demonstrates wide-ranging ideation and CGI developments, stills and animations as well. Storytelling, good understanding of technical aspects and ideally some sketching skills. Background as designer is an advantage, but not the primary scope of this position.

• A degree in design/media design, or CGI related field
• A good knowledge in basic and technical product animation
• Exellent in Adobe Creative Suite like PS, ID, Ai for post production and Substance Painter for 3D-texturing
• Good skills in poly modelling in 3Ds max or Maja/Blender (parametric modelling aswell)
• Other knowledge of rendering and CGI software is expected (e.g. Blender, 3DMax, Vray…)
• Ability to independently create, develop, compose and post-produce complex scenes and animations
• Strong storyboarding and dramaturgical skills
• Love of teamwork and collaborative design
• Great attention to detail and proper communication skills, also directly with clients
• Excellent German and very good English is required
