in Huawei Munich Research Center is developing innovative technologies in the field of acquisition, encoding and decoding, processing and presentation for the media field, including audio, video, image and graphics. You will contribute to these activities being inserted into an international and experienced team of researchers.

*Senior Engineer – AI-based Audio Effect*
(m/f/d)
*Your mission*

  • Conduct research and development in AI-based Audio Effect technologies, including but not limited to Spatial Audio Synthesis, Upmixing, Audio Scene Classification and Audio Event Detection for various applications.
  • Collaborate with international teams to implement solutions into existing and new products.
  • Follow industry trends in related technologies, identify and evaluate new solutions and technologies to be demonstrated to internal stakeholders.
  • Foster innovation by building and coordinating projects, internal/external collaborations and strategic partnerships

*Your areas of expertise*

  • PhD or M.S in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Audio Signal Processing or related fields, with a maximum 6 years' industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience of Machine Learning and AI applied to audio synthesis, identification, classification and related tasks (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of spatial audio, binaural rendering and audio signal processing (Preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to translate user needs into design decisions.
  • Experience in project management and acting as interface between industry and academia is a plus.
  • Independent and well-structured working style with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
