Public Relations Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a
European PR Specialist
with a strong background in the consumer electronics sector to shape and amplify our brand narrative across earned and owned channels. In this role, you will support the development of strategic communications that translate complex product innovation into clear, compelling stories that resonate with media.

You will help the
Regional PR team
in Europe with creating media relations, thought-leadership initiatives, product communications, and cross-channel messaging to strengthen brand visibility and credibility in a fast-moving, highly competitive market. This role offers the opportunity to shape the public voice of a rapidly growing brand—crafting compelling narratives that align consumer needs with product benefits and bringing them to life across the full communications ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

1. Media Relations Support

• Research and maintain media lists
• Track relevant journalists, influencers and publications
• Assist in pitching stories under guidance from senior team members
• Coordinate sample send-outs or product briefings

2. Content & Writing

• Draft press releases, media alerts, and briefing documents
• Prepare Q&A documents, talking points, backgrounders as well as product presentation to journalists
• Write short-form content for social channels or internal communications

3. Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor media coverage and industry conversations
• Compile weekly news digests for internal teams and meetings
• Prepare PR performance reports and coverage summaries

4. Event & Campaign Support

• Assist in planning press events, press meetings (digital & physical) product launches, and media tours
• Coordinate logistics (sample shipments, guest lists, invitations, follow-ups)
• Support at events with setup, check-ins, and on-site coordination

5. Administrative & Organizational Duties

• Manage team calendars, meeting notes, and contact databases
• Support budget tracking and vendor coordination
• Handle basic research and preparation tasks for strategy development

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with marketing, social media, and product teams
• Ensure consistent messaging across channels
• Share insights from media monitoring or industry trends

7. PR Agency Steering

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day collaboration with external PR agencies, ensuring clear briefing, timely delivery, and alignment with brand messaging and strategic priorities.

8. Reputation & Crisis Support (Entry-Level)

• Flag potential issues seen in media or social listening
• Prepare first drafts of reactive statements (for review)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completed traineeship
  in a PR agency, corporate public relation department or in the publishing industry plus.
• 3+ years
  of public relations experience in consumer electronics or a related tech-driven category (e.g., smart home, kitchen appliances, personal electronics).
• Proven ability to
  translate technical product features
  into clear, compelling narratives for PR materials such as press releases, presentations, media briefings, Q&As, pitches, and thought-leadership content.
• Strong media understanding,
  including how to frame stories for different outlets, angles, and audiences.
• Experience coordinating with PR agencies
  , managing briefs, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring alignment with brand messaging and strategic priorities.
• Excellent writing skills
  , with the ability to adapt messaging for journalists, stakeholders, influencers, and various communication channels.
• Familiarity with tools
  (Cision, Meltwater etc.) and ability to read data and make adaptions based on insights.
• Ability to tailor communication
  to different audiences, supporting consistent messaging across all channels.
• Strong project management skills
  —comfortable managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional input, and driving communication workflows to completion.

Other requirements

• A background in journalism—whether through previous roles, internships, or freelance work—is a plus
• Fluent in English. Any other language such as French, Italian or Spanish is a plus
