About the role
As (Senior) Sales & Relationships Manager, you'll be the key link between smatch and the sport & outdoor retail world. You'll use your industry knowledge and network to identify new partners, close deals, and build long-term relationships with retailers and wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Acquisition:
Actively identify and onboard new fashion brands and manufacturers, ranging from mono brands to premium labels. - Supply Strategy:
Leverage your personal network to expand smatch's supplier base, focusing on European stock solutions and off-price inventory. - Procurement & Sales Synergy:
Manage the dual role of sourcing attractive stock (Purchase) and presenting these deals to our marketplace (Sales). - Account Management:
Ensure recurring business by managing supplier relationships and navigating the full procurement cycle from lead to delivery. - Internal Collaboration:
Share industry insights with our internal product and operations teams to optimize the marketplace supply chain. - Regional Travel:
Travel across Europe to visit brands and represent smatch at headquarters.
About you
- Background:
years of experience in fashion sales, strategic buying, or business development, specifically in the off-price or stock-lot sector. - Market Expertise:
Deep understanding of the fashion supply chain and established contacts with European brand owners. - Execution:
A "driver" with an entrepreneurial mindset who understands how to navigate the complexities of brand-to-marketplace sales. - Skills:
Expert in negotiation and price calculation; confident in using CRM and analytical tools to manage supplier data. - Languages:
Fluent in English and ideally another European language (Italian, French, or Spanish) to manage international brands.
Nice to have:
- Network beyond DACH (e.g. France, Italy, Spain)
- Contacts in lifestyle or sneaker segments
- Understanding of merchandise/category management
