Job Title: Head of Financial Systems (m/f/d)

Job Description:
The Head of SAP Financial Systems will deliver innovative business solutions through design, build and test, including responsibility for systems integration. The Head of SAP Financial Systems will leverage his subject matter expertise and his leadership capabilities to ensure successful project delivery and client success. As a global leader within our SAP practice, he/she will get the chance to participate in new and existing implementations, developed with the latest technology and tools. S/he oversees all aspects of SAP systems solution, including those that are targeted towards customer relations, human resources, product life cycles and finance. The role is central interlocutor for Accounting, Controlling, Reporting, Tax and Treasury. This position works closely with peers in other SAP teams across the globe. The position reports directly to the Head of Digital Product and Services.
Key responsibilities
GENERIC
Governance:
- Manage Technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems
- Being main interlocutor for SAP Finance related topics globally
- Design new solution extensions based on customer requirements
- Provide architecture and design guidance to the development team in the modules FI, CO, ML, TRM, TDF, Meridian, OSD, OT/VIM and FSCM.
- Guide the engineering team to develop, configure and implement solutions as per the product development standards to meet business requirements
- Monitor the work of the technical team and ensure standards are adhered to in accordance with SAP's Solution Extensions
- Ensure technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged, and that work is not duplicated
- Work with and advise the QA team on the design of test plans, test cases and on automation
- Participate in the product roadmap and product strategy definition.
- Help and review with the creation of training, product, and solution documentation
- Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure compatibility with other components that interface with ARLANXEO SAP Business Suite
- Hold self and others accountable to the committed deadlines and ensure successful deliverables
- Take an active role in the development of other team members
- Lead team in driving and delivering customer solutions
- Performing integration architecture and infrastructure design activities
- Participating in resolving technology integration problems
- Act as a mentor, coach, and provide training to engineers and consultants by sharing solution and technical expertise.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout projects
Projects:
- Supports global center funded projects, helps to deliver quality for the Company in his/her domain
- Participating in International Deployment of SAP Core Model in ARLANXEO subsidiaries and affiliates as governance lead or lead consultant
- Participate in all SAP project phases as requested by deployment team
- Actively engages with the business team in study of business requirements and design of optimal solutions with minimal level of justified GAPs
- Prepare miscellaneous project deliverables within his/her function (estimate and plan, reporting, design, build, test, train, migration and hyper care)
- Partners with external vendors, including onshore and offshore resources
- Contributes to meet quality, cost and on time delivery KPIs for each project
- Develops, executes and maintains test plans and test cases in collaboration with key users
- According to project needs creates updated solutions, frequently asked question (FAQ) and training documents, conduct trainings
- Conducts functional/integrated testing of application before submission to User Acceptance Test
- Facilitates User Acceptance Tests via guidance of key users, defects resolutions
- Participate in Technical Cutover activities
- Conducts knowledge transfer sessions within IT team as requested
Provides post go-live support and successful hyper care exit
Support:
- Works on live markets support by service desk tickets resolution, tickets distribution among other members in his/her functional domain, active participation in regular tickets review to ensure quality and progress
- Central Support Instance for Finance with global responsibility
- Executes and Leads delivery of enhancements and Continuous Improvements, helps to drive solution optimization within team
- Provides input and recommendations to enhancement solution designs in his/her area and cross-functional topics
- Enable desired business outcomes, achieved through partnership with Key Users, Company/BU Leadership and digital team
- Works closely with the other IT functional and technical teams within the Company
- Adheres to the internal IT operating model, including technology standards, deployment methodology, release management, change management, and other related processes and procedures
- Performs transport synchronization between landscapes for global configurations and developments
- Creates global end user materials in English, deliver trainings to key users in his/her domain
- Works self-directed and independently, acts as subject matter expert and mentor to less-experienced teammates

Candidate Profile Requirements
Education / Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related fields,
Certifications in one or more of domains: SAP, Project Management, Business Applications Management
Experience needed:
At least 10 years of experience in an SAP/ERP environment managing ERP and Business applications. Deep Experience in finance modules as mentioned above; cross-industrial experience needed. Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs, ability to work with multiple computing platforms including hardware and software, proven successful Business Stakeholder Management, strong intercultural experience
Language:
- Local language (German)
English: proficiency needed
IT Knowledge:
Must have deep knowledge about SAP in various modules
Strong working knowledge of SAP modules FI, CO, ML, TRM, TDF, Meridian, OSD, OT/VIM and FSCM.
Deep understanding of cross functional integration across SAP
Broad SAP knowledge with direct experience in data migration and interface development in addition to functional consulting
Knowledge of SAP Infrastructure and Basic Components as well Authorizations and Roles concepts
Deep experience in all stages of SAP Delivery Life Cycle
Good Knowledge about IT Collaboration Tools (Teams, SharePoint) and Office applications
Knowledge of managing IT Business Applications projects from a technical, scheduling, communication and financial aspect
Ability to do FITGAP analysis and lead workshops with Business and Process Architects
An ability to identify, develop and implement solutions to gaps to meet the needs of the business
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership and intercultural skills
