Project Manager Technology & Products (d/f/m)

Hyra is working on behalf of Leica Microsystems to hire for the position of Project Manager Technology & Products (d/f/m). This role leads hardware-focused microscopy product development projects within the Life Science sector from initial concept through to market launch. You will join the Project Management Office to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive complex optical technology projects forward.

What you'll be doing


• Lead microscopy hardware development projects and monitor progress through the full product lifecycle.


• Coordinate internal teams across R&D, Optical Design, and Production along with external suppliers.


• Manage resource allocation for optical components and monitor project budgets and milestones.


• Assess emerging microscopy technologies and manufacturing processes to drive product innovation.


• Identify and mitigate risks related to hardware design while ensuring regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for


• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.


• Mandatory professional knowledge of microscopy systems and optical principles.


• Extensive project management experience in hardware-intensive industries such as medical devices or optics.


• Proficiency in project management methodologies including waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders effectively.
