About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in industrial maintenance, with hands-on experience in mechanical systems, reliability engineering, and asset management within industrial facilities such as water/wastewater plants, power generation, or heavy industry.
The role requires a proactive professional capable of leading on-site maintenance activities, enhancing equipment reliability, and supporting continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications in maintenance or asset management (e.g., CMRP, IAM, or equivalent) are considered an advantage.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of total experience, including at least 7 years in mechanical maintenance within industrial environments (preferably water/wastewater, power, or heavy industry).
- Demonstrated ability in supervising on-site maintenance activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient work execution.
- Proven experience in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and equipment lifecycle planning.
- Familiarity with international maintenance and reliability standards.
- Skilled in equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and condition monitoring techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs, layouts, and mechanical schematics.
- Experience in asset performance evaluation, including degradation analysis and life-cycle cost assessment.
- Ability to conduct maintenance training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance management systems.
Systems & Tools:
- Hands-on experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) tools such as Maximo, SAP, Infor, WARIOS, or similar.
- Proficiency in maintenance data analysis, reliability metrics, and performance reporting.
- Knowledge of key asset performance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and similar metrics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Operations, HSE, and Management teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience, particularly in managing technicians and contractors.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, root cause analyses, and asset improvement plans.
Other Requirements:
- Strong commitment to HSE standards and safe maintenance practices.
- Flexibility to work on-call or during emergency breakdowns as required
