Sales Engineer - Cyber - Germany Remote, occasional travel to Frankfurt

Our client is a leading Cyber Security vendor who are expanding their Sales Engineering team across Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Engineer to join a brand new DACH team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver high-impact, technically robust demos that highlight the strengths of our cybersecurity offerings, including MDR, SIEM, and EDR. You'll clearly articulate how our tools solve real security challenges.
  • Engage with customers to understand their environment, pain points, and business priorities. Translate these into well-designed architectures that demonstrate both technical depth and commercial value.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of customer trials—planning, configuration, deployment, validation, and executive wrap-up. Ensure prospects experience fast, tangible results that support the buying decision.
  • Equip MSPs, resellers, and technology partners with the knowledge, frameworks, and best practices needed to run compelling demos and successful POVs. Act as a technical authority in partner-driven sales motions.
  • Monitor evolving threat landscapes, emerging attacker behaviours, and shifts within the cybersecurity vendor ecosystem. Feed insights into product, sales, and marketing teams to strengthen positioning and roadmap alignment.
  • Showcase our platform at industry events, webinars, partner sessions, and executive briefings. Strengthen our presence and act as a credible voice within the cybersecurity community.

Experience required:

  • 7–10+ years across cybersecurity, with hands-on involvement in MDR, SIEM, and EDR technologies.
  • 5+ years working in pre-sales engineering, sales engineering, or advisory/consulting roles.
  • Proven track record managing trials/POVs that delivered measurable business outcomes.
  • Familiar with platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, Elastic, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong understanding of SOC workflows, MITRE ATT&CK, incident response, threat detection, and modern attack techniques.
  • Able to translate technical depth into compelling business value through demos, workshops, and training.
  • Excellent project coordination skills—able to organise, plan, and deliver workstreams end-to-end.
