About the role

From here, you'll help shape the core of commercial operations at RWE Supply & Trading, playing a hands-on role in the company's energy transition journey. • Take an active role supporting core database work for our accounting operations, with responsibility for daily data updates and maintenance.
• Assist with the preparation, processing, and formatting of financial data for regular and ad-hoc reporting.
• Help engineer or refine documentation and workflows, making them clearer, more effective, and fit for the future.
• Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at process innovation and improvement.
• Learn to identify and address data accuracy and reliability challenges in a dynamic, fast-moving trading setting.

Job requirements and experience

• Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language (e.g., MS SQL, Python or VBA).
• Familiarity with database work, particularly T-SQL, and a readiness to apply technical curiosity to real business challenges.
• Strong written and spoken skills in both German and English.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt, with courage to take ownership and the discipline to work independently.
• Positive, collaborative spirit and willingness to communicate openly within diverse teams.

Advantageous, but not essential

• Basic knowledge of accounting or finance principles.
• Curiosity about trading products or derivatives markets.
• Familiarity with AI tools and enthusiasm for applying new technologies to everyday tasks.
