What you will do
Work at the intersection of science and science communicationLearn about current approaches to explainable artificial intelligence (XAI), analyze the latest research findings, and develop informative designs, illustrations, and animations to visualize the key aspects of this workVisual design: Create animations (programmed with Python libraries such as Manim) and produce graphics and designs (e.g., in Figma or similar tools) to communicate scientific content, for example, for scientific publicationsGain an overview of AI research at the HHI and actively contribute to the development and maintenance of our websitesWhat you bring to the table
Enrolled Bachelor's/Master's student in a full-time study program in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Graphic Design, Communication Science, or related fields with good to very good gradesInterest in design and an affinity for creativity (interactive prototypes, graphic design)Good knowledge of Figma, ProtoPie, and Adobe Creative CloudExperience with content management systems, ideally WordPress, Typo3, as well as basic knowledge of HTML & CSSStrong interest in AI and explainable artificial intelligence, with the ability to present complex systems understandablyExcellent communication skills with colleaguesMotivation and initiative, along with the ability and curiosity to delve into new areasGood to very good German and English skills, both spoken and writtenResidence in Berlin and surrounding areas, as the position can only be performed on-site in BerlinWhat you can expect
