Head of Solution Architecture

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Technical and disciplinary management of the Solution Architecture department and further development of a team of highly qualified solution and data architects.
- Development and responsibility for higher-level solution architectures for our software product and solution portfolio (on-premise and Azure cloud) in alignment with our business objectives to meet customer expectations, taking into account scalability, maintainability, performance, security, data architecture and governance.
- Close collaboration with stakeholders (including customers) to understand business requirements, to translate them with the team into technical solutions including early estimations, risks and business case assessment.
- Oversee solution development together with product development teams, cross-functions (e.g. security, DevOps, QA) and other stakeholders across our two development sites, Munich and Gurugram.
- Technical evolution and modernization of our product and solution portfolio and staying on top of Technical Debt.
- Definition, further development and implementation of technology standards and technology stacks roadmap.
- Promotion of innovations, identifying and evaluating new technologies and trends, running PoCs and delivering MVPs.
- Moderation and management of architecture governance processes, including architecture reviews, utilization of best practices and decision-making bodies.
- Knowledge management and coaching, promoting exchange on architecture topics and supporting teams with complex technical issues.
- Ensuring adherence to quality, security and compliance standards in all architecture decisions.

**Required Skills**:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the development and design of complex on-premise as well as cloud-ready enterprise solutions in comparable environment (C++, C#, Java, Python, Azure).
- Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud-native design principles, microservice architectures, API management, database and big data technologies, messaging and streaming architectures, security, IoT.
- Proven strong leadership experience, ideally in leading an architecture or development team across different development sites.
- Experience in defining and implementing technology standards, stacks and roadmaps.
- Passion for innovation and the ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies into the teams and portfolio.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills and experience in working with interdisciplinary teams across sites.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
