**What you will do**
- Research in the fields of channel coding, low latency communication and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the physical layer
- Development of new transmission schemes, protocols and cross-layer optimizations and support contributions to relevant standardization bodies
- Implementation of prototypes involving machine learning techniques to optimize for latency, reliability, and energy efficiency

**What you bring to the table**
- You are a student in Communications/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields at a German university
- Basic knowledge of machine learning, channel coding and LTE/5G PHY layer procedures
- A good understanding of mathematical concepts
- Basic knowledge in programming, e.g. C++, Python, MATLAB, R
- Creative thinking and interest for novel technologies
- Good communication skills and teamwork spirit
- Excellent spoken and written English
