**The Role**:

We want to find ways of helping customers to switch to these options through renewable and low-carbon energy and decarbonization services. The Renewables & Energy Solutions business is key to this. It is that part of Shell that includes integrated power, hydrogen, and nature-based solutions and carbon capture & storage. All of this intends to propel Shell closer towards its target of being a net-zero emissions business by 2050.

Shell’s Offshore Wind (OFW) business is seeking to build a global portfolio of commercially attractive offshore wind assets with significant scale and close links to power trading and marketing. The OFW team is uniquely positioned to drive the Energy Transition of Shell - offering more and cleaner energy solutions to customers. For the generation of electricity, Shell is developing an offshore wind power business in the Americas, EMEA and Asia.

Shell has a strong presence and long history in Germany with many customer relationships. The Business Development Advisory will work closely with the Business Development Manager Germany and Business Opportunity Managers to identify and mature new opportunities.

**What’s the role?**
- Assist Business Development Manager Germany and BOMs by taking ownership of commercial activities
- Objectives / Deliverables / Expectations include
- Market assessment (power sector, offshore wind industry) and define opportunity space
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence
- Own specific tasks/deliverables such as agreements with partners and customers
- Develope external relationships and managing stakeholders
- Examples of major projects / initiatives
- Drive day-to-day opportunity maturation (PMO role for BOM)
- Support wind strategy reviews and updates across EU countries
- In teams maturing opportunities or managing projects this role is often looked to as the one who knows offshore wind, where the German industry is coming from and where it is heading, and how Shell plans to succeed
- You will be part of a global and dynamic team. As opportunities may be progressed quickly or have stringent timelines, the workload may shift quickly from one action to another.
- Travel is a common feature of the role

**What we need from you?**

The position calls for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure, and able to adapt to an evolving internal and external environment. You should have demonstrated experience in a commercial, analyst or business development role.

We also hope you possess the following skills and experience:

- Affinity with the energy transition or relevant background from the renewable sector, ideally experience in power / renewable generation / offshore wind
- Exposure to contract management, PPAs, partnerships and joint ventures dynamics is a strong plus
- Good network and insights relevant to new energy technology and business models
- Experienced in working across full value chain and within complex environment, whilst able to cover a wide scope of activities and priorities
- Experience in market and strategic analysis
- Financial modelling skills
- Proven ability to establish strong relationships and to collaborate within a multifunctional team
- Excellent in communication, both verbally and in writing, in German and in English
