As a tertiary and quaternary level provider of medical care, the University Hospital of RWTH Aachen combines patient-oriented medicine and care, teaching and research at an international level. The entire spectrum of medical care is provided through 36 specialist departments, 33 institutes and six interdisciplinary units. The **Center for Computational Life Sciences (CCLS)** is seeking a

**Student Assistant (f/m/d)**:
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of initially 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

The standard weekly hours will be 8 - 12 hours.

**Tasks**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with or willingness to learn the Declarative Sequencing Python framework (DSPy).
- Prior experience with machine learning models or data analysis projects is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

**Profile**
- Create, refine, and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) to achieve desired outcomes using DSPy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to DSPy and LLM prompting.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Document the processes, methodologies, and results of your work for future reference and knowledge sharing.

**Conditions**
- A valid certificate of study in Computer Science/Informatics or related degrees
- For foreign students: valid residence certificate, work permit, registration certificate

The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
