Junior Organic Synthesis Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct organic synthesis experiments and reactions under the supervision of senior chemists or team leaders, using basic organic chemistry techniques and equipment
- Analyze reaction products using basic analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and mass spectrometry
- Assist in the design and optimization of synthetic routes for the preparation of target molecules
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and records
- Collaborate with other members of the R&D team, as well as external partners, to achieve project goals

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field
- Some experience in organic synthesis, preferably in an academic or industrial research setting
- Knowledge of and experience with some synthetic techniques and equipment, including but not limited to: inert atmosphere techniques, cryogenics, column chromatography, and purification of organic compounds
- Basic experience with some analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and mass spectrometry
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and German
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
