Senior Product Owner

We are looking for a **Senior Product Owner** to drive the successful and timely delivery of key products in our **Trading Software** portfolio. In this role, you'll act as the critical link between strategic direction and execution—translating high-level product goals into actionable development plans. You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, Architects, Consultants, Customer Success Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination, effective planning, and business alignment. You’ll take full ownership of the product backlog, guide short - and mid-term development cycles, and help bring impactful, technology-driven products to market. This is a senior position with scope beyond basic execution. You will manage complex, high-value product areas, act as a mentor to other Product Owners, and influence how we scale product practices across Volue. **What you will be doing to make a difference**: - Own and prioritise the product backlog to align development work with business goals and strategic direction. - Ensure visibility into progress, blockers, and priorities—supporting predictable delivery across teams. - Navigate trade-offs between scope, speed, quality, and security—communicating decisions and implications clearly. - Evaluate and highlight the cost impact of development choices, including infrastructure, licensing, and third-party tools. - Serve as the primary bridge between Product Managers and development teams, ensuring alignment on vision and execution. - Collaborate with development leads on work planning to enable timely and effective delivery. - Provide domain expertise to support development, while staying focused on real-world business outcomes. - Assist Product Managers in assessing feasibility, managing technical constraints, and addressing tech debt or vulnerabilities. - Maintain and own both internal and external documentation to support product marketing, sales, consulting, and support. **What you need to succeed**: - A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or commercial field. - Solid domain expertise in relevant industries and customer segments—experience in trading or energy markets is highly preferred. - Significant experience in product roles or adjacent areas such as software engineering or technical consulting—with a proven ability to align technical implementation with commercial goals and customer needs. - Strong grasp of agile methodologies and modern product development workflows. - Excellent communicator—able to connect the dots between technical and business matters. - Self-driven, with a proven ability to unblock teams and push delivery forward. - Comfortable mentoring and guiding less experienced Product Owners. **Reasons to join Volue team and what we offer**: - Large degree of influence in shaping & developing the role further; - Great colleagues in one of Europe’s most exciting green tech companies with innovative and international work environment; - Competitive salaries based on your professional experience; - Annual vacation of 30 days; - Corporate benefits like Urban Sports Club, JobRad or Deutschlandticket as well as acesss to a Mental Health Platform; - Flexible working hours and hybrid work; - Attractive referral program.
