**Context**:
The DN&OSS team is responsible for the provision of OSS and Digital Network strategy, design and engineering services for Vodafone’s European Markets and International Network’s. Within our organisation the OSS Engineering team is accountable for the conversion of the OSS Technology strategy (set by the NSE NW Strategy & Architecture function) into the technical delivery road-map, has full accountability for OSS road-map planning, delivery and execution and is accountable for all OSS lifecycle management and security compliance activities in line with our wider Vodafone Technology Standards. Our OSS Engineering team is decomposed into a series of technical domains based on industry standard Architectural Frameworks. Each domain then provides a pan European set of engineering services towards our customers in Vodafone’s Local Markets and our Network Engineering vertical teams (E.g. Vodafone Network Development or Network Operations)
**Role purpose**:
The purpose of this role is to lead the OSS Operational Readiness Domain.
You will drive the evolution of Vodafone Radio Planning and Optimizations tools, GIS platforms, Inventories and Asset management solutions, to enable a massively simplified and streamlined and modernised design and development process on fixed and mobile access networks.
Alongside this the Operational Readiness Domain will work closely with our Vodafone Network Development team to agree, select, design, build and deploy automations, workflows and discovery to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the design and development of the network, ensuring data quality and consistency between physical assets, logical configurations and hw configuration to enable key programms such as Smart Capacity, Digital Twins or Zero Touch Ops.
A key focus of the Domain Lead will also be to ensure that we build and maintain a future fits workforce where the teams skillsets and capabilities evolve to stay current with the latest evolution of tools for Radio Planning and Optimization, Transport planning, as well as inventories and automation that are key pillars for building process automation and increasing the ratio of self built over buy.
**With us you will be**:
- Accountable for the design, implementation, and delivery of Radio Planning and Optimization, Inventories and Asset management, Transport and Planning solutions across all EU markets serving Network Development and Operations as main internal customers.
- Responsible to select and drive the evolution of the platforms in scope ensuring evolution according to the OSS Simplification strategy
- Accountable for the capacity and performance of the solutions in scope and of the user experience as well to ensure data quality controls on Asset and Network Inventories
- Testing, maintenance, and evolution of the developed solutions
- Lead the simplification of the area aiming to reduce the correct estate, harmonize across footprint solution.
**Must have technical/professional qualifications**:
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or IT or Computer Science
- Motivated, Strategic thinking, results-oriented, strong leadership skills, and Data-Driven Decision Making
- Very effective in managing people by building a high-performance team and Experience in leading Continuous improvement in people, process, and technology
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
