**Your Role**

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with prospective clients on pilot projects using PLEX ranging from small molecule docking to genome annotation.
- Identify and prioritise recently published computational biology and biology-machine learning software to onboard onto PLEX
- Work closely with the Founder on improving the UX and capabilities of the PLEX software library
- Work closely with academic and industry users of PLEX to understand their needs and support them in achieving their goals
- Coordinate with the Engineering Team on any encountered technical constraints of PLEX
- Support other team members with regards to questions specific to computational biology

**Requirements**:

- Recently completed a PhD in a computational biology focused program, or equivalent
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with high performance compute environments are essential
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas: small molecule chemoinformatics, genomics, or protein structure analysis
- Experience contributing to open source software
- Experience using workflow languages such as CWL, Snakemake, or Nextflow
- Experience supporting local or online (scientific) communities (i.e. iGEM, OpenBioML, BitsInBio, GASB, GOSH, open labware, BioContact)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in small cross-functional teams
- Excellent fluency in English, written and spoken
- Interest in supporting open science cause areas such as reproducible biocomputing, preprints and open data sharing
- Interest in web3 technologies, including IPFS, the Ethereum virtual machine, and DAO mechanisms.
- Interest to work in a hybrid work environment with colleagues in Germany and North America, experience working in a tech / startup environment is a plus

**Work Environment**
- Early stage company with less than 10 team members across Central Europe and North America
- Office space available in Berlin or Zug, Switzerland.
- High-touch communication with most activity between CET and EST
- Daily virtual stand-ups to ensure clear communication and collaboration
- Regular in-person off-sites in Europe or North America

**Salary**: 73,000.00€ - 91,000.00€ per year
