Munich Re’s MENA Casualty Treaty team provides reinsurance solutions for all relevant players in the MENA region. Our team is responsible for all MENA cedantw in the Munich Re Group. To complement our team of recognized experts, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated underwriter. You will develop and grow our Casualty business in a highly dynamic market place. Your field of activities will be varied: the role encompasses not only underwriting, but also close contact to our clients and business development in the motor and liability field.
Your job
- Underwriting proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaties
- Taking on underwriting responsibility for selected MENA markets and cedants
- Executing our underwriting strategy
- Negotiating of contractual terms and conditions with cedants and brokers
- Participating in divisional and cross-divisional initiatives and projects
**Profile**:
- University degree in law, business studies/economics, mathematics, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in reinsurance treaty underwriting for Motor and Liability lines of business
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Enjoy working on coverage and legal aspects including emerging topics such as climate change, ESG, etc.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of French or Arabic is an advantage
- Strong teamwork skills and knowledge-sharing culture
- Willingness to travel to MENA countries
