Our team has the responsibility for Munich Re's marine reinsurance business for the geographical area of Europa, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

We are looking for an Underwriter who will be ensuring an effective and professional client approach whilst maintaining and developing underwriting excellence. Your focus will be the reinsurance business (treaty and facultative) of cedants in Europe. You will develop and grow our core business in a highly dynamic marketplace.

**Your job**:

- Ensuring underwriting and pricing quality (compliance with underwriting guidelines and authorities and achievement of the technical result)
- Ensuring an excellent level of service for the clients by conducting negotiations with cedents and brokers
- Driving the development of traditional and non-traditional reinsurance and insurance concepts
- Working together with colleagues from the international marine hubs, to extend the products, solutions and services Munich Re is able to offer its clients
- Taking part in the development of line of business and product strategies for the area of underwriting

**Your Profile**:

- University degree or another similar insurance qualification
- Substantial relevant underwriting experience of minimum 3-5 years. Marine knowhow considered as an advantage
- Knowledge of how the European marine market works
- Excellent knowledge in structuring and pricing of reinsurance programs
- Proven track record of successful team work and interface management
- Confident, engaging manner, very good negotiation skills and a strong client focus
- High level of commitment and willingness to travel
- The international nature of the position makes excellent written and spoken English a necessity. French would be an important added value
