**Junior Underwriter Property Treaty for Latin America/Caribbean/Iberia **(M/F/d) ****:
Two positions, full-time and part-time possible

**Location**
Munich, Germany

We are looking for an open-minded, motivated colleague to support us in driving forward our business development activities.

Our treaty team has the exciting responsibility of supporting our clients in Latin America, the Caribbean and Iberia. This includes the reinsurance of existing property business as well as helping our clients to grow their property business and manage their challenges in a changing environment including digitalisation, M & A and new customer needs. All of this is done in collaboration with our clients and through the implementation of new ways of working (agile mindset and methodologies).

You are prepared to start your future career in property treaty underwriting, nat cat modelling and the development of innovative products and solutions in the region. In addition, you are willing to contribute to our cross-regional and line initiatives (e.g. parametric triggers, data analytics and small and medium-sized enterprises).

Your job
- Contributing proactively to the Latin America/Caribbean/Iberia client teams in negotiations with cedents and brokers
- Performing risk assessment, pricing and acceptance of simple reinsurance programmes
- Preparing and modelling property nat cat data with the models used at Munich Re, including RMS Risk Link (DLM)
- Supporting colleagues in their daily work
- Handling the full process of underwriting and monitoring the existing proportional and non-proportional treaty business within your defined responsibilities

**Profile**:

- University degree (in mathematics, economics or business studies) or insurance apprenticeship
- Analytical thinking combined with a high level of commitment, responsibility and reliability
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focused, efficient and independent working style
- Eagerness to drive your own and the team’s development and learn new things; you are active in sharing knowledge with your colleagues
- Willingness to travel whenever needed
- Excellent command of English and Spanish or willingness to learn Spanish
