Key responsibilities & duties
Responsible for the functional safety strategy for our robotics and software products
- Based on the market and customer requirements define the roadmap of the safety strategy for the company
- Lead, develop and mentor a cutting edge team of SW engineers to implement state of the art safety solutions
- Represent the company in various safety conferences as well as to the necessary standardization bodies
- Establish processes and solutions to frequently use open source software libraries as a safety element out of context or perform SOUP
- Take over the communication with external suppliers and elaboration of specifications
Work experience & skills
Proven experience (5+) driving safety and certification in an organization dealing with Medical Robotics/Human robot collaboration/Autonomous driving/Rail or Aerospace
- Sound knowledge of the safety standards (e.g. IEC 62304, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, IEC60601, SEooC or similar)
- Solid experience in SW development in C++ and ability to contribute with writing code
- Proven experience in successfully leading/involved in project/s that actually passed certifications mentioned above
- Proven experience in Functional Safety Over EtherCAT
- Experience in Agile development
- Knowledge in robotics and ROS2
- Some experience in the medical device industry
Academic qualifications
Bachelor/Master/PH.D. (or comparable practical experience) in medical engineering, Computer Science, electrical engineering, or related fields
**Salary**: 75,000.00€ - 100,000.00€ per year
