**Responsibilities**:
- Development, optimization, and scale-up of downstream processes with focus on chromatography- Implementation and operation of processes in lab and pilot scale with transfer to production facilities- Support process and knowledge transfer to the different sites of the organization- Contribution to internal and customer projects as an expert function- Assessment of recent technical developments- Supervision of lab technicians and management of the chromatography lab

**Requirements**:
- Degree in chemical
- or bioengineering with a specialization in downstream processing or purification by chromatographic methods, preferably with PhD- Excellent knowledge in preparative chromatography (principles, operating modes, scale-up)- Solid competences in Normal and Reversed Phase Chromatographic methods- Initial experience in simulation of chromatographic processes- Preferentially with industrial experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment- Fluent in spoken and written English and German- Teamwork skills, stress resistance and willingness to travel
