Reporting to and, working closely with, the European Business Unit head for Supply Chain and Procurement, the successful appointee will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the build out of the profile and reputation of the Firm, specifically in the key Procurement function. **The Role** As a **Director (M/F/d) - Procurement - Germany**, You will be responsible for managing and delivering projects, helping to win new business, and developing more junior members of the team. **The Qualifications** The successful appointee (M/F/d) will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution focused business entrepreneur who is addicted to having an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo. You are a high-energy individual with excellent financial skills and a track record of success. You may bring a mix of advisory experience, either from a top tier strategy firm or leading specialist consultancy but must be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of a particular product category (e.g. metals) gained through industry experience and direct negotiation with a range of suppliers. - Managing complex procurement programmes - A specific range of category expertise - A specific understanding of the key attributes of the category as well as Global supply options, routes to value and other related cost topics - Change management - Influencing, engaging and advising various stakeholders across the business (from senior executives down) - Facilitation, negotiation and supplier management - Data analysis (turning raw data into business insights and intelligence) - Technological know-how including processing of category products, (e.g. metals pressing, forming, finishing etc) - Several years experience, with the above outlined expertise in the UK and Europe / Global - Experience and consequently a good network across the procurement industry - Clear determination to deliver the latest thinking in procurement solutions within a highly competitive advisory marketplace - Robust financial experience and analytical rigor - A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university (Procurement specific related certifications are of interest) - **Fl**uency in German and English** is essential, additional European language skills are more than welcome.
