**Procurement Engineering Specialist (M/F/d)**:

This role involves heading up a team of procurement and logistics specialists in the Busch-Jaeger Elektro, Germany (ELSB) in Lüdenscheid, Germany NRW, implementing effective sourcing strategies to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Reporting to the Head of Direct Materials, you will drive excellence in the execution of purchasing and logistics strategies that aid the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products and to assure Business Continuity.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Strategic and operative project work for new product launches and product discontinuations
- Technical evaluation of supplier offers, acceptance of delivered equipment or services as fit for purpose
- Supplier selection, supply chain management, contract design as well as ensuring the quality requirements in consideration legal knowledge
- Leveraging CIPS category teams locally, regionally and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection and qualification
- Contract negotiations on quantity, prices, delivery dates and general contract conditions
- Ensure top-quality supply during start-up and phase-out projects, including the implementation of problem-solving processes
- Ensure manufacturing and material cost reductions over the entire product life cycle through design to cost, cost break down analysis and evaluation within RFQ process
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations and ABB guidelines

**Your background**:
